pj bottoms

From McCalls pattern #4979. Sewn in "capri-length." Sewn from new "vintage" fabric from the vintage collection at Jo-Ann (which was on clearance for $1.20 a yard). Very simple, except for the narrow drawstring. It was a pain to turn. Will try again with a different drawstring (ribbon ?).

Wow - that's great at $1.20/yard! Have you tried just making a string that doesn't need turning? Like cut a 2-inch strip, iron the seams in, iron it in half, then just edge stitch on the outside. You'd have to fold over the ends and finish them off, but it's much more preferable to spending a bunch of time turning. That always makes my wrists hurt.
